Yue Dai

Graduate Student, PhD

Yue Dai is a doctoral student specializing Chinese art in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Her interests include cross-cultural art exchange, material culture, image-text relationship, and art theory. She received her BA in philosophy and an MA in literary theory from Nanjing University. She obtained her second MA in art history from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a thesis on how medium and materiality condition people’s reception of a Daoist illustration.
