On September 16, 2025, Dr. Nicola presented a seminar paper, entitled “Churches, Crypts, and Communities: Early Christianity in Dakhla Oasis (Egypt’s Western Desert),” to the Department of History and Archaeology at Macquarie University (Sydney, Australia). Also at Macquarie University, on November 8, 2025, Dr. Aravecchia gave a keynote lecture entitled “Christianity in Egypt’s Western Desert: Two Decades of Excavation in Dakhla Oasis”) to The Australian Centre for Egyptology and Rundle Foundation ECR (Early Career Research) Showcase.
