In October, Professor John Klein gave the annual Thompson Lecture at the Flint Institute of Arts in Flint, Michigan. The lecture, entitled “Picasso’s Guernica: For the Moment, For All Time,” also featured a “colorized” version of Picasso’s anti-war painting by Henri Matisse’s great-granddaughter, Sophie Matisse, which is in the collection of the Flint Institute of Arts.
