2021 Graduating Art History Majors Share Their Future Plans

The Department of Art History and Archaeology wishes its graduating majors all the best in the future endeavors. Here are the plans for some as they move on to life after graduation!

Lingran Zhang will be attending the MPhil in Heritage Studies program at Cambridge.

Hannah Ward will be attending Syracuse University's Graduate Program in Italian Renaissance Art.  Hannah received a generous Kress-Florence Legacy Scholarship to fund her graduate school studies which start in Syracuse NY and then moves to Florence, Italy.

Marion Murphy is moving to San Diego, CA to start as a junior consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton.  Marion profusely thanks the department which allowed her to get this post-grad job. “I am forever so grateful!!! Thank you thank you! I will miss art history and the department so much!”

Jonathan Cher's general plan is to intern/work for a year and then probably apply to art history or art conservation graduate programs.

Meghan Street has been hired as a communications specialist, the “student face,” for the Washington University Student Sunrise project (Student MyDay) -- a fantastic right out of college position.

Elaine Kim will be interning for a think tank in Washington D.C. that specializes in tech policy and will eventually attend law school.

Lauren McGinnis will eventually move to NYC to look for an assistant designer position in luxury women’s ready-to-wear clothing.

Maggie Wald hopes to work in museums or galleries in the future.

Natalie Snyder is still figuring it out! As of now, she would like to get a master of library science in the next five years or so, but also wants some time working a “normal” job before seeking higher-higher education. She is also considering a Rhetoric and Composition degree, with the long-term career goal of teaching writing at a college level.

Megan Maxwell’s primary major is psychology, and her eventual goal is to pursue a PhD in clinical psychology. She is currently in the process of applying to research assistant positions across the country in order to better prepare for graduate school.
