Chloe Cook (’18) is currently the Conservation Coordinator at the Menil Collection. In this role, she assists the Chief Conservator in administering the activities of the Conservation Department and supports 11 department staff. She recently helped with her first project, which consisted of wrapping and sealing the wood frame for a 13th century textile to prevent off-gassing that would damage the fibers. She is hopeful this position will lead to a career in art conservation or museum administration!
Chloe states: “I would never have considered art conservation as a career path if not for Dr. Klein's suggestion when I was in his Matisse seminar. I am eternally grateful for Dr. Klein and Dr. Wallace's confidence in me and investment in my work as an undergraduate.”
