Claire Lyman to Give SLAM Lecture for Trajan Show

From elaborate dinner parties to immersive garden landscapes, life at home was rarely dull for wealthy Romans during the reign of Trajan. Claire Lyman, curatorial intern for European art to 1800 and graduate student in the Department of Art History and Archaeology at Washington University in St. Louis, will look closely at a selection of objects from the exhibition Ancient Splendor: Roman Art in the Time of Trajan to paint a picture of elite domestic life in the late-first and early-second centuries.
